"New Joy—The Echoes Beyond the Paintings of Qi Baishi", hosted by Mango Art Museum, co-organized by N+ Art Center and Beijing Zhongyi Dachen Art Investment Management Co., Ltd., and presented by Sungari Auctions, is proudly held at N+ Art Center in the Noah Wealth Center in Shanghai.
The exhibition explores Qi Baishi's artistic philosophy, showcasing a selection of his finest works, divided into three main themes: “Depicting the Wonders of Nature: Insects and Birds,” “Masterful Techniques: Transplanting Trees and Flowers,” and “Capturing the Essence of Life Through Blossoms.” These works encompass a variety of subjects, including flowers, birds, figures, and landscapes, showcasing Qi Baishi’s artistic evolution. His brushwork captures scenes filled with aspirations for a beautiful life, and we hope that these auspicious works bring joy and optimism to viewers, ushering in a year of prosperity and good fortune.

Qi Baishi, widely regarded as one of China’s most influential artists, transcended the norms of his era. His depictions of fish, shrimp, insects, and birds have become iconic symbols, with his stories and artworks continuing to captivate audiences across generations. Viewing his paintings often evokes a sense of “echoes beyond the canvas,” that deeply touch the heart and bring solace to viewers of all ages. Perhaps this is why his art, born in turbulent times, remains deeply loved today.
